Rabbit farming is a promising and low-capital venture favored by children and adults. However, it faces significant challenges, particularly in the timely diagnosis and treatment of diseases, which can lead to substantial financial losses. Time constraints and costs often delay the immediate handling of sick rabbits. We have developed an expert system using PHP web programming language and MYSQL database for early disease diagnosis to address these issues using Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) and Certainty Factor (CF) methods. This system aims to assist breeders by providing quick and accurate information on rabbit diseases and early treatment options. System testing involving 20 respondents demonstrated a high accuracy rate of 95%, underscoring the effectiveness of integrating CBR and CF methods in diagnosing rabbit diseases. This expert system is poised to enhance disease management practices in rabbit farming, improving decision-making and reducing economic losses for breeders. © 2024 IEEE.
